Diving Into The Outer Worlds 2 Early Release
A Major Bug Fix Dropped Before The October 29th Release Date Too
There are plenty of people that ignored our advice and pre-ordered The Outer Worlds 2. It seems that Obsidian is having a bit of a laugh with those people, as the Consumerism flaw which you can pick at the beginning doesn’t have any in game effects. It will only be available for those that pre-ordered, or received a review copy, and is somewhat amusing to those with a certain sense of humour. That is a bit of a spoiler, there will be quirks available to add to your character which will change your experience somewhat.
That is good in a way as it seems there were some major game breaking bugs which needed to be squashed and they have been in the patch which just dropped. If you would like to know a bit about the game before you decide to pick it up you can read Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN’s take on The Outer Worlds 2 here. It sounds like it has a some significant differences from the first game, which could be good or bad depending on how much you enjoyed the first one.
You see, since the game emerged into early access late last week - a time frame during which only those who spunked around £30 extra for the game's preorder premium edition can play it - other folks have run into this flaw, and assumed that it must be dunking on them for having bought that more expensive edition.
