It’s Been A While Since We Looked At A DLP Product

A few years back we saw a plethora of short throw DLP products on the market, but they were superseded by next generation OLEDs and monitors containing dots of a quantum nature.  Nesoeeker happens to have recently posted a review of a 4K DLP from Dangbei called the DBOX02.  It produces a peak brightness of 2450 lumens and supports HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG formats and has a sensor built in to automatically adjust brightness depending on the surroundings.

The connectivity is impressive with two USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and HDMI eARC, it can connect via LAN, WiFi Wi-Fi 6 or Bluetooth 5.2/BLE and the DBOX02 offers two 12W speakers if you don’t have a sound system to hook it up to.  You can feed it a signal from a computer, cable and it comes with support for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Hulu, and more straight out of the box.

Neoseeker were also impressed with the DBOX02’s gaming prowess, offering 4K at 60Hz and 1080p at up to 240Hz to ensure your games don’t stutter on it.  Check out the rest of the review here.

The DBOX02 promises performance, featuring auto keystone correction (vertical and horizontal), auto focus, and a 1.27:1 throw ratio for screen sizes ranging from 60” to 200” (with an optimal advertised range of 80”–120”). Its ALDP laser delivers 2,450 ISO lumens and a 30,000-hour lifespan.
