IceWhale’s ZimaCube 2 Pro is an impressive NAS, and not just because those two performance cores are rare to find in a NAS. In addition to the Intel processor it also has a 256GB PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD for whatever OS you want to install, it comes with ZimaOS configured but can handle any flavour of Linux you like, and there are 16GB DDR5-4800. Your storage pool can handle a half dozen 3.5/2.5″ SATA3 drives and another four PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 SSDs. Hopefully you bought those before prices went insane.
Connectivity options include two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 40Gbps ports and an additional two USB-A 5Gbps ports on the back and two USB-A 5Gbps, along with a single USB-C 5Gbps.
