Biwin M560 2TB Featuring The SM2504XT PCIe Gen5 DRAMless Controller

No Price Yet, But DRAM-less Should Cost Less

Biwin has produced the first SSD that TweakTown have run into with Silicon Motion’s SM2504XT PCIe Gen5 DRAMless controller, and so they were curious to see just how it performed.  The M560 uses Kioxia BiCS Generation 8 218-layer 3D TLC NAND and comes in 1TB and 2TB models which, as of yet, do not have any pricing attached.  You can hope for it to be $0.10/GB if you want to be sorely disappointed but thanks to the lack of a RAM cache the M560 should be less expensive than many other SSDs.

The 2TB M560 is advertised to hit 11,000MB/s sequential read and 10,000MB/s write which TweakTown found it to do with no problem, averaging a hair more in their testing.   It is also going to last you a while, with an endurance rated at 1500TBW not to mention the five year warranty.  As far as TweakTown is concerned, when it hits the market Biwin’s M560 is the best DRAM-less SSD for your money.
