That is the current Amazon price for Gigabyte’s RTX 5090 Gaming OC 32G GPU, over twice the purely theoretical MSRP of $2,350. However it does remain the most powerful consumer gaming GPU, not to mention being a ‘poor man’s’ Blackwell AI accelerator. It is also more than a year old and thanks to the fact we inhabit a dystopian future NVIDIA doesn’t seem to plan on replacing the RTX 5090 with a newer generation of GPU any time soon.
The FPS Review is revisiting the performance of the RTX 5090 Gaming OC 32G with the newest driver version on games which existed at launch and have been patched numerous times as well as new games that you might not have seen running on an RTX 5090. The card remains an absolute powerhouse for 4K gaming, even with path tracing and every other ray tracing option enabled. You will get playable framerates without using DLSS, but upscaling is needed if you are hoping to break 100 FPS in many cases.
