Take a gander at this picture below as possible proof of the existence of an unreleased GTX 1070 Ti.
The picture comes from My Drivers, who also posted untranslated commentary about the card here. The text describes a card with 2304 CUDA cores, falling between the GTX 1080's 2560 and the 1920 present in the GTX 1070. We do not have any insight into the memory clock on the card, nor if it is GDDR5 or GDDR5x but it should also fall between the two existing cards.
That's all the info we have for now on this card, hopefully we can find one before the miners do as this card is likely to be very popular with that segment.
Nvidia’s answer to Vega 56
Nvidia’s answer to Vega 56 then, guess they weren’t too happy about how well it was performing compared to the original 1070.
Except for the fact that 56
Except for the fact that 56 doesn’t beat the 1070. If they already have cards this far into production, the one pictured is an AiB ASUS Strix model, it.means they’ve been working on it long before Vega released.
Anyone with half a brain has known Nvidia had additional cards coming down the pipe for the holidays. We we’re always going to get some sort of Pascal refresh before Volta released.
Nah, sure there are plenty of
Nah, sure there are plenty of gtx1070’s out there that have 2304 that are find but they laser cut them to 1920. Doesn’t take really any change in production to do these cards if its real.
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about? The Vega 56 beats the 1070 at stock vs stock and OC vs OC, it even comes close to the 1080. It’s only problem is noise and heat (solved by better cooler).
The 1070Ti is a welcome addition though. I assume it will just be a desktop version of their mobile part that has 2,048 CUDA cores vs 1,920 along with much higher clocks.
It only beats the Founders
It only beats the Founders Edition 1070 and only comes close to the Founders 1080.
In real life where most people own AiB cards and not reference cards, the 1070 and 1080 beat the 56 and 64, respectively. And in literally almost everything.
my alienware 17 has a gtx
my alienware 17 has a gtx 1070 which has more cuda cores than the desktop counter part (2048 to be exact), I bet there going to use the mobile die and just bump the clock up past desktop 1070 and call it a 1070 TI
The price difference between
The price difference between a 1070 and a 1080 like 50-70 dollars right now. How is this supposed to fit into anywhere?
It will probably replace the
It will probably replace the 1070 entirely.
Yeah that’s what i’m thinking
Yeah that’s what i’m thinking
nvidia is clearly in
nvidia is clearly in control…. my impression is that AMD got very limited to almost no supply , and nvidia got much better access to production capacity with TSMC.
Hopefully AMD can go back to TSMC soon… those wafer “prisons” deal with the islamic state of abudabi is killing AMD.
But I guess any time AMD need money, mudabala will gladly give it to AMD for another 20% stake in the company.
That one brain cell floating
That one brain cell floating in that sea of lipids inside that thick bone skull of yours appears to be very agitated.
But that Re-Negotiated GF wafer agreement has allowed AMD to use other fabs and AMD’s Epyc/Zeppelin die production alone will very likely be enough for AMD to meet any wafer production reguirments. And look here, Jethro, even the Zen/Ryzen and Zen/Threadripper SKUs use the same base Zeppelin die that Epyc uses so that’s plenty of Zeppelin die production from GF. Then there is also the Polaris and Vega GPU production and well GF may not have enoug capacity what with GF also doing IBM’s foundry work also!
